Our story

Projects Island began in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, in 2014 with a simple belief: the company that builds a property should be ready to look after it too.

From the start we brought building contracting and general maintenance together under one roof. As our clients' needs grew, so did we, adding fit-out and interiors, civil works, MEP, joinery, finishes, waterproofing, landscaping and pools, so that every trade a building needs could be delivered by one accountable team.

Today we have completed more than 315 projects across Abu Dhabi, from private villas and new buildings to complete renovations and long-term maintenance contracts. Our approach has not changed: clear scope, careful work and lasting care, from the first foundations to the hundredth service visit.

Chairman

Jad Al Qubati

As Chairman, Jad Al Qubati sets the direction of Projects Island and the standards it works to. He leads the company's strategy, oversees its most important client relationships and holds the business to the principle it was established on: that a contractor's responsibility does not end when the keys are handed over.

Under his leadership Projects Island has grown from building contracting and maintenance into a single partner for the whole life of a property, from construction and fit-out to annual and emergency maintenance, with more than 315 projects completed across Abu Dhabi. He champions quality, integrity and safety in every project the company takes on, and believes the true measure of a building is how well it performs years after completion.

Managing Director

Abdul Salam Hulais

As Managing Director, Abdul Salam Hulais leads the day-to-day running of Projects Island, from site operations and project delivery to the maintenance teams who look after clients' properties after handover.

He is responsible for planning, resources, quality control and health and safety across every project, and he is the point of accountability clients deal with from first enquiry to final inspection. His approach is practical and hands-on: an agreed scope, an honest programme, and work done right the first time.
